In what is shaping up as the most competitive World Open's ever, 11 players are tied for first after 6 rounds, including: Ehlvest, Gulko, Novikov, Miles, Benjamin, Bologan, Alberto, Shabalov, Serper, Fishbein, and Ivanov.  Seventeen players are right behind just a 1/2 point back, including: Goldin, Minasian, Yermolinsky, Christiansen, Atalik, Kacheishvili, Timoshenko, Fedorowicz, Finegold, Gurevich, Blatny, Garcia, Kreiman, Sevillano, Sammour-Hasbun, Szmetan, and Blanco.
