Strong Field in 7 Day Schedule: Gulko, Ehlvest, Miles, Krush, Miton, Hummel!!

Gulko

Ehlvest

"It's Like a Chess Game!"

We've all heard that phrase applied to every sport and business analogy.  Now it's fascinating to watch the top players carefully making their choices on which schedules to play in.  Each trying to find the schedule that has the weakest field.

There may be some disappointed players in the 7-day schedule as a tough field of competitors joined the fray including a mix of experience and youth.  Some of the players are: GMs Akopian, Ehlvest, Gulko, Minasian, Miles, and Kacheishvili, and top youth players like World Under 14 Champion Kamuil Miton, US Women's Champion Irina Krush, and National High School Champion Patrick Hummel. See Round 2 results!

Major Results!  GMs Novikov, Timoshenko, Blatny, and Bisquier tied for first in the 6-round World Open "Major" ... all by winning in the last round!  See Results.
